The proposal

So for those of you who don't know, I have been looking for these pictures for a year and a half now and I was so sad because I thought I had lost them forever. But just the other day, Kyle found one of his old thumb drives and I found the pictures saved on there. I was so happy I almost started crying because these pictures are really special to me. These are the pictures from the very moment when Kyle asked me to marry him almost 2 years ago. For those of you who don't know why Kyle proposed here, I will tell you the story. =)


It all started about 6 years ago when Kyle and I were dating in high school. He took me on a 4-wheeler ride one night in this very spot where these pictures were taken. Then, it was summertime and the leaves were all on the trees and there was no snow on the ground. It was a beautiful starry night... =)


It was up in Woodland Hills- where Kyle used to live- and there was a really cool 4-wheeling trail just behind those trees in these pictures. While we were 4-wheeling around, we came across this random hammock in the middle of nowhere and we decided to stop and take a swing in them. After swinging for a while, Kyle turned to me and asked me if he could kiss me. I said yes. It was our first kiss.


Well, 6 years later, there we were again, not on a 4-wheeler ride this time because there was still snow on the ground, but eating a romantic lunch at a table Kyle and his family set up before we came up there- just outside the place where we first kissed. After we ate lunch, I wanted to take a picture so I set the camera on the table with a timer and we posed for the picture. I realized I was wearing Kyle's jacket still and didn't want to be wearing it in the picture, so I had 10 seconds to take it off and put it on the table. After I put it on the table and turned back around to pose with kyle again for the picture I found Kyle on one knee, holding out to me the most beautiful ring. And then the picture took.


He asked me if I would marry him. I said yes. He took me totally by surprise- as you can see- we weren't faking the picture. It was the actual moment he proposed. He is so clever. =) And now I have these pictures forever to remember that wonderful day- the day that I made the best decision of my life.
